Busy "No Plans" Weekends

This is a picture of our house prior to us purchasing it last fall. Don't let the "For Sale" sign scare you, we are here to stay. We just had one of those weekends where we did not have really any official plans but ended up busier than most weekends that end up full of birthday parties, barbeques, or other planned social events. It is amazing how we start the weekend feeling free and unfettered and then end up in the middle of home improvement projects that we are rushing to finish on Sunday night before the weekend starts. I am blessed with one of those husbands who has a knack for anything around the house. If there is an electrical project, he can do it, plumbing project, he can do that also, anything outdoors is taken care of, and of course anything with a motor is a joy for him! Although these weekends typically end up being the busiest for us there is such a sense of accomplishment at the end of the weekend when there are so many things we can check off our never ending "to do" list. Here's to the hope that there is an end to the "to do" list and even if it takes us years to accomplish (and it probably will) the end result will be amazing and totally worth it.
