Christmas

I love having a fireplace with a mantle to hang Christmas stockings on and I have been acquiring these houses for my Christmas village for the last couple of years. My friend Wendy would say it is very "churchy" which means exactly as it sounds, very appropriate with church and God sprinkled over. It is tough to impress upon my children that the meaning of the season is not the presents they have such excitement and emotion about but the story of Jesus and ultimately His sacrifice. I will continue to do as my parents did and keep talking about it and praying that it will eventually sink in. I tried to include the tree in this blog, it is pretty, but was unable to rotate the picture and couldn't stand the thought of the picture being sideways!!
