Thanksgiving

I am struggling a bit with this Thanksgiving. It has been a very busy last couple of days. Thanksgiving at Kim's house with Keith's side of the family, Keith's birthday celebration last night and then today Thanksgiving with my side of the family. I struggle each year at this time with the constant activity that seems to be attached to the holiday season. So much to do, shopping, baking, many get togethers combined with work and all the other tasks that are regular fare in the life of a working mother. I am working very hard at taking this all one day at a time and not getting too overwhelmed by the sheer number of things to do and to remind myself this holiday season is the most joyful of all. Beginning with being thankful and ending with the joy of Christ's birth and the feeling in the New Year of possibility.

I appreciate so much the words today on Marika's blog as they remind me that hope is not just a word but rather can be a way of life and a perspective on the world that enhances our lives daily.
