I hate it when McKayla is sick. I hate feeling helpless and like there is nothing I can do to make her feel better. I know intellectually these things have to run their course but emotionally I am not in the same place. I have a tendency to try to gather as much information as possible to combat helplessness. Evidently there are two other children at daycare who are/were sick as well. She seems to have stopped throwing up but is still not eating or being as active as normal.

On a happier note, I have an almost desperate urge to see the newest member of the family, Jackson Levi. It is amazing how bonded one can feel to a person they have never met, simply that they are family. Congratulations Marika and Nathan! Give me the word and Kayla and I will be on a plane!!!
