What an adventure that turned out to be! It was very cloudy and icky when I got up in the morning and it didn't get any better as the day progressed. It was raining off and on by noon and at 3:00 we had a great thunderstorm that on any other day I would have been thrilled about. Needless to say I started cleaning out the garage.
By 5:30, when the BBQ was scheduled to start, it was still cloudy and overcast but it had stopped raining at least. Thank goodness by the end of the evening, although it was cool, it was sunny and nice. We had a great time with all my peeps from work and their families and all the kids were so great.
Even Kayla, who vowed to stay in her room the whole night (because she is so shy, she says) asked after the BBQ if we could have a BBQ every day, she had so much fun.
Ahhhh, success!
