Rockin' and Readin'

We are getting into the groove of a new school year.  McKayla's sitting reading The Boxcar Children while I am working on the computer.  She really does not appreciate the finer art of reading and would rather be outside on her bike in the sunshine.  In this regard she takes after Keith more than me.  I remember reading The Boxcar Children when I was a kid and I am reading along just ahead of McKayla so I can gauge how quickly she is moving along in the book in the 20 minutes of silent reading she is assigned as homework each night.  I am amazed that even though I don't remember the details of the story very well the story and characters are very familiar to me, like old friends.  Cheesy, I know!
