Things have been a bit rough at work lately. We are feeling the crunch of the economy in increased referrals and needs of those less fortunate in our community and with our own state budget. We received a directive on Monday that all state employees have to take a mandatory 24 hour furlough between now and April 4th. Of course, this means without pay, which is not fun. I am going to think about everything I appreciate about this time:
1. That I have a job.
2. That I have the choice of how I want to take my time off. (Whether in large chunks or a couple hours a week.)
3. That the joy of the Christmas season surrounds.
4. That Keith has a job.
5. That we are all healthy and happy.
6. That Kayla picked out one of the gifts we got her in a catalogue and said she wanted it for Christmas.
7. That we have a fireplace and there is a fire burning in it currently.
8. That I have a Christmas village and it is all lit up.
OK, I can stop now, I feel better!! I will add to this list if I need an attitude adjustment again!
