There is such brilliance to the marketing of toys these days. The revival of many of the toys that were popular when I was a child creates such a nostalgia towards my own childhood memories that it is hard not to buy those same toys for McKayla. I am sure that is the point. When I think back to my childhood and think about the toys I had there were the timeless things such as baby dolls and barbies but there were also My Little Pony's, Cabbage Patch Dolls, and Polly Pocket's all of which are back on the market for my daughter to want.

One of those items was the jelly bracelet. (as well as jelly shoes, but I haven't seen those back yet) Ironically enough the photo below shows McKayla with a jelly bracelet in her mouth across her teeth pretending the jelly bracelet is braces. I know this is prompted by Kristin having braces but I can't help but to laugh because I did that as well when I was young with jelly bracelets. One has to wonder if anything we do is of our own creation or if we are just developmentally destined towards certain behavior!
