Overwhelmed

Tonight Keith, McKayla and I went to her school for a kindergarten learning workshop. After we all ate some pizza we broke into groups and did four different activities with the kiddos geared at improving their reading and math skills. It was hard to get an accurate handle on where McKayla was in comparison to the other kids in her class as she was so distracted by being at school in the evening and was connected at the hip with her friend Jaide. Sometimes if you look too far into your future at what is coming it is really overwhelming. This evening I had a look at the years of school ahead of us and the worrying that she is getting what she needs educationally and is where she needs to be. I appreciate the games and activities they sent home so we can practice and help her be all God intended her to be! What a huge responsibility this whole parenting thing is.
