Little House in the Big Woods

I am almost finished reading this to McKayla. I though it might be a bit old for her but then decided to give it a try and we could abort mission if she had no interest in it. She loves it and it connects me to the memories I had of being a child and my mother reading to me. She even colors or plays while I read to her and can go much longer than I have the voice to continue.

When we were kids we had two nights a week that were our night to do dishes. At this point in time it was just Marika and I as Kate and Lindsay were too young. It made that chore in particular so much better when Mom would read to us. I don't know how she had time to be reading to us all so much but our love of reading is solid so I can't help but think the wonderful memories of those times helped to assist with that.

Thanks Mom for the memories and also a tool to use with McKayla to help her grow. Now that is awesome parenting!

Thank you, Andie. I think I enjoyed it as much as you girls did!
