Boys and Girls Club Update

As the summer has progressed McKayla has turned out to like the Boys and Girls Club. I have continued to enjoy the affordability of the program and that the charge is for the summer so it doesn't matter if she is there or not as money does not ride on that decision. She went solidly for the first two weeks of the program and since then it has been about every other week. She has certainly enjoyed being able to stay home with her brother and sister on the weeks they have spent with us this summer.

This has been a really nice resource for us as it is affordable and keeps her very busy. I have to say I would not recommend the program for children who are not able to follow the rules pretty easily as the security is pretty lax and there is nothing, not even a fence, to prevent a child from going over to the swiftly flowing, very high river. I haven't worried about McKayla because she is such a little rule follower (outside the house that is) and if it is a rule not to do something, she won't. Thankful for that, must be doing something right!
