Resort Camping

Our next vacation is to attend a family reunion at the Water's Edge RV Park which to me is resort camping. We have the RV and there are full hook ups at Water's Edge so it is essentially like living in a small house for a week. I enjoy the convenience of this sometimes (like once a year) but generally like the solitude of the more "normal" (well, normal for us since there is an RV involved) camping experience. The kids are pretty excited as there are lots of fun activities to participate in like boating, fishing, 4 wheeling, canoeing, swimming, eating, camping in a tent (for them), volleyball, horseshoes, time around the campfire, etc. I think the thing McKayla and Kristin are most excited about is that by camping at this particular facility they have access to the indoor pool next door at the Ashley Inn. A couple of years ago when we were camping there this is where McKayla conquered her fear of the water a bit and learned to trust her life jacket. In my opinion she conquered her fear a bit too much with jumping off the side of the pool into the water into Austin's arms, sans life jacket.

This camp site even has wireless internet so I am going to try to post a couple of times while I am up there.
