Rough Day at Work

Today was a rough day.  We had to place a foster child who came into care and it was exceedingly difficult.  It was one of those opportunities where it is stressful enough that people's coping mechanisms show up and one can see how effective they are.  Luckily for me I have great staff and everyone was cool under pressure and the spirit of team work abounded.  I so appreciated our program manager who was in it with us all day and even stayed late to advocate for what we needed to place the child correctly.  It really shows how much she supports us and the work!  Not that there was any doubt, she is wonderful.

Kristin is keeping us on our toes as well with some teenage behavior.  Always lovely to take a moment to think like a 16 year old girl!
