My last two days have been consumed with getting lice out of McKayla's hair. Not loving the long hair right now! It makes me itchy just to think about it and I have had Keith check my head about a million times to make SURE I do not also have it because I itch! We have gone through her hair a bunch of times and we did the shampoo last night and that has been so helpful. I can't help obsessing over it and check her hair constantly and go through it to make sure we are getting all the nits out (dead or alive). We have to shampoo again in a few days to make sure any nits that weren't killed in the first application will not reach maturity to start laying eggs and start this whole process over again. If this never happens again, it will be too soon.
To compound the situation there were major dramatics around the house this morning as McKayla did not want to go to school and do her book talk in front of the class. There was making up illness and all sorts of nonsense. She went and the book talk went just fine!
